A Jog Through Okanagan Wine Country: World’s Most Fun Half Marathon?

What I’d call the most fun half marathon ever is just around the corner. The Half Corked 18km Marathon (or ramble) through the vineyards of Oliver and Osoyoos wine country is set to take place on Saturday, May 23rd and it’s completely sold out. I’m sharing its details now so you can add your name to the ticket lottery now for next year. It’s that popular.

Not only is the setting of this run unbelievably picturesque, but there are food and wine stops along the course and, runners are encouraged to get into the crazy spirit by wearing a costume. How fun?

Another fun part of the event is the primavera dinner offered to runners the night before. It’s carb-loading at its finest with rustic pastas, salads and local wines served family style at a longtable within a vineyard. At the end of the race, there’s a picnic party with boxes lunches, more wine (of course) and a few food trucks, too.
