Nearing a decade since first opening its doors and reinventing Vancouver’s dining scene, Chambar Restaurant will be closing in May, 2014. Why? To reopen steps away at 566 Beatty Street!
The new location is almost identical to the existing restaurant with brick walls and large fir beams but will open with some exciting new additions including a beautiful, south facing patio with approximately 50 seats that will be open year-round. The ideal spot to enjoy a quality Belgian brew or indulge in an innovative menu with friends, the next Chambar will feature a cocktail bar, a larger lounge with late night dining, and a lower level where guests will be encouraged to extend their evenings by relishing in a rarely found civilized debauchery. There will also be access to a rooftop patio for special functions.
The new Chambar will be open all day, and will offer breakfast, brunch on weekends, lunch, and of course dinner. The space will also include a stylish 80-seat private function room designed for special occasions such as private parties, weddings and receptions.
Chambar is well known locally and internationally for its unpretentious fine dining, carefully crafted cocktails, Belgian beer selection, and award winning wine list. This concept of Chambar will not change, but will certainly continue to evolve as Vancouver builds a reputation as one of the most culturally vibrant cities in the world.
An integral part of Chambar’s value has been an ongoing commitment to sustainability. A carbon neutral restaurant since 2011, Chambar is delighted to be moving into a LEED Gold Certified building by Reliance Properties. Look for the new Chambar to open in the summer of 2014.
