Mission Restaurant, located at 2042 West 4th, is now open in Kitsilano.
Chef Curtis Luk and Sommelier Chase MacLeod open their 1st restaurant: Mission. A dining focus on $45 four course and $65 six course tasting menus with optional wine pairings in addition to a generous lounge space with a la carte menu options in a bright, comfortable and sophisticated room.
Chef Luk hails from Ontario. Following his appearance on Top Chef Canada Season 2, he moved to Vancouver to join the Fable Kitchen opening team and spent time running the kitchens at the Parker and Bambudda, always moving toward the long range goal of running the kitchen in his own operation. A tasting menu based restaurant is his inspiration for the concept of Mission. Once a restaurant staple in a booming economy, it is time to re-introduce the joy of a talented chef creating a tasting menu to the Vancouver dining scene at a level that is affordable for more than just special occasions.
Sommelier Chase MacLeod joins Curtis Luk in ownership of this venture, bringing the skill to front of house operations and perfect wine pairings to the menu items from an eclectic wine list. Justin Darnes joined the front of house team at Mission as head barman with a house-made cocktail list not yet seen in Kitsilano.
Mission is currently open for dinner every night except Tuesday.
