Chef Montgomery Lau at MARKET by Jean-Georges Heats Up the Kitchen for Valentine’s Day

With a special menu designed for romance, chef de cuisine Montgomery Lau of MARKET by Jean-Georges is preparing to heat things up this Valentine’s Day for an enchanted evening worthy of love. Featuring a $90, 5-course menu highlighted by the finest and freshest ingredients available, Lau promises to light a spark for this limited time engagement. Reservations are highly recommended.

To set the stage for the evening, couple will be offered a MARKET Valentine’s Day cocktail or champagne. For cocktail connoisseur, thePassion Fruit Love Potion crafted with Gewurztraminer, triple sec, passion fruit puree and fresh orange juice ($10) promises to delight while for those more inclined to have some romantic bubbly, Veuve Clicquot Rose by the glass will be chilled and ready to enjoy ($30).

Chef Lau has done his best to include all the elements of a romantic culinary feast, from oysters to truffles and a rich steamed lobster, the menu reflects the Jean-Georges’ signature intense flavours and textures resulting from the use of vegetable juices and fruit essences, light broths and herbal vinaigrettes.
