CSA Boxes in Vancouver: Three Hyper-Local Farms to Choose From

Summer’s edible bounty is nearly upon us, and that means now is the time to consider signing up for a CSA box before shares sell out. What is a CSA? Community Supported Agriculture is one way to get the freshest seasonal produce directly from our local farmers. For a set price, you’re provided with a portion of your chosen farm’s crop for the entire season.

Inner City Farms is one of our hyper-local suppliers who grows beautiful vegetables in front and back yards all over Vancouver. If you’ve dined at Campagnolo, Edible Canada or Graze, you might have tried their products.

For the first time, Inner City Farms is offering CSA boxes to the public this year. For $500, you get a weekly basket of three to six different vegetables, grown using organic practices, almost every Sunday from mid-June to mid-October — you just have to pick it up from Le Marche St George.

If this location isn’t convenient for you, consider CSA boxes from Harvest Community Foods in Strathcona or Urban Digs Farm in South Burnaby.
