At the age of five, scrambled eggs were my specialty. ”Runny or hard?” I’d ask, while standing on a stool propping me high enough to reach the stove. The former was my preference.
These days, with easy-to-prepare, sustainable products like 7 Seas new Cedar Grillers, kids are no longer limited to simple meals when it comes to dinnertime. Salmon, tuna, and sablefish are all possible menu ideas for your youngster.
To start, you could suggest they sear some albacore tuna and serve it with a chilled mango red onion salad:
Or perhaps some smoked black cod doused in creamy horseradish sauce? Presentation is everything – be sure to leave out the wooden serving platter:
Last option - Ahi Tuna Wontons. Fresh, crunchy, saucy bites:
Moving onto the main course: Cedar Grillers. They’re seasoned in a sea salt bath, smoked with all natural alder wood, and placed on pre-soaked cedar planks to infuse a subtle cedar essence. The best part – they’re sustainable and NO PREP is needed. They’re barbecue/oven-ready!
- Alaskan Coho Salmon:
- Local Albacore Tuna:
Also available: Alaskan Sablefish Cedar Grillers.
The tender fish, shown above, are served with charred grape tomato vinaigrette and deliciously tangy vegetables prepared by The Boathouse Restaurant who’s joined with 7 Seas to promote and serve high-quality, sustainable seafood.
