Game of Thrones Viewing Parties: How To Get Into The Spirit With Food

Game of Thrones fans, Sundays just got a whole lot more exciting with the recent premiere of our favourite show. How about getting into the spirit (even more) by enhancing your viewing parties with appropriately themed food? Here are a few medieval ideas.

Start your party with spooky-blue white walker cocktails. Fill glasses with ice, add white chocolate liqueur, soda water and blue curacao — and you’ve got yourself a layered, bone-chilling beverage. Recipe.

For entrees, how about whole roasted honeyed chickens? Nothing will get you into the spirit like eating drumettes with your hands. Or if you prefer a stew, consider using goat with sweetgrass, firepods, and honey. Recipes.

If you don’t feel like cooking but want to party like a Lannister, head to Granville Street’s The Bottleneck (right beside the Commodore) who’ll be hosting weekly screenings of Game of Thrones with special dishes, drink specials and a few surprises.
