Southern Americans, the world’s unrivaled BBQ masters, would’ve savored each full-flavored bite served to Peter & Betty (left), and 5000 other Vancouver Downtown East Siders at a recent ‘Gourmet Texas BBQ’ thrown by Glowbal Restaurant Group and Union Gospel Mission.
Vats of beef brisket, ribs, baked beans, potato salad, coleslaw, cornbread, and butter tarts, prepped by six of Glowbal Group’s top chefs, were doled out to hungry guests at Oppenheimer Park with classics like Pretty Woman playing in the background.
