Introducing Movies at Market with “Spinning Plates”

Grab your gourmet popcorn and a seat, and join us on a culinary journey with the new Movies at MARKET series.

An inspired take on the classic pairing of dinner and a movie, this series will run from April through June, with two screenings of a feature film each month. Movies will range from award-winning documentaries to foodie cult classic flick.

Kicking off the series on April 23 and 24 will be the Vancouver premiere of Spinning Plates, an award-winning documentary about three extraordinary restaurants and the incredible people who bring them to life. Check out the film’s trailer here.

Once the lights come up, guests will be escorted to the Georgia Room inMARKET by Jean-Georges, where the second portion of the evening awaits. Chef de Cuisine Montgomery Lau will create a tantalizing four-course dinner inspired by the film du jour. For Spinning Plates, Lau will prepare a menu that speaks to his love of food, starting from the comfort of his grandmother’s kitchen in Hong Kong through to leading the helm at Jean-Georges’ only restaurant in Canada.

With a limited 36 seats available per screening, the exclusive Movies atMARKET series will be the hottest date night ticket in town. All events will include a glass of bubbles, gourmet popcorn, film screening, and a private four-course dinner at MARKET by Jean-Georges. Doors open at 5:00pm, with the main event starting at 5:30pm.

Tickets for Movies at MARKET are priced at $78.00 and available by calling the restaurant at (604) 695-1115.
