One of Kitsilano’s newest and coolest restaurants, AnnaLena, located on First Avenue near Burrard, has joined Vancouver’s thriving brunch community by launching their very first morning menu titled, “The Benedictator”. Naturally, they’re focusing on the popular Eggs Benedict, and their menu is quality over quantity.
Three versions of the egg genny are on offer. There’s a beef brisket with grainy dijon hollandaise, a bacon benedict with classic hollandaise and of course a vegetarian with tomato and tarragon hollandaise. Also on the menu is a meaty cheesy breakfast sandwich, a banana bread with maple butter, lemon cake with cashew butter and yogurt and granola.
Bar Manager Kevin Brownlee has created a seriously enticing brunch cocktail menu. The “Ah, The Caesar” sounds absolutely amazing with roasted vegetables, rosemary, sriracha, salt and pepper and either lemon basil vodka or charred onion gin.
