When my father-in-law and Lions Gate Foundation board member Fred Yada suggested I put together a silent auction gift basket for their annual golf tournament fundraiser, the response was an instant yes.
My grandma recently spent a month at Lions Gate for a leg amputation that saved her life. She’s been in and out of hospitals a lot this past year, and the care she was given at Lions Gate easily topped the charts in regards to her many experiences. Our entire family is so incredibly grateful for the successful procedure that was key to lengthening her life.
The Lions Gate Foundation 2015 Golf Classic took place on Monday, June 15th, and I am thrilled to report that over $400,000 was raised for the cause. The “To Die For” Silent Auction Gift Basket, which I curated with Fred, went for $1900. Thank you so much to all the bidders! And an enormous thank you to the fabulous restaurants and local food companies who donated gift cards and edibles — you are all so wonderful and I don’t doubt the winner will fall in love with you, as I have.
To Die For Silent Auction Gift Basket
Our favourite local restaurants and independent food producers made this silent auction basket possible by generously donating gift cards and goods. The prize was 12 gift cards to top Vancouver restaurants (leaving you no excuse to not plan date night at least once a month), a basket-full of locally made goods and a bottle of Dom Perignon for celebrating. A huge, huge thank you to the following!
