There is a cosy architectural and design bookshop in Seattle, called Peter Miller Books. And there, amongst the books, you will find a quiet revolution. Each day, the owner, Peter Miller, and his staff set aside the business hustle and bustle for a short time to make themselves a simple lunch in their shop. Now, Peter is sharing his ideas and recipes with us in a new book: Lunch at the Shop: The Art and Practice of the Midday Meal. It is a call to lunch, and now we call you too, to lunch with us and our friend, Peter as he joins us in the shop to celebrate his new book.

About the Author Peter Miller has operated his design bookshop in Seattle for 35 years. He trained as a chef with the remarkable Maurice Thuillier and is a regular contributor to the online magazine Crosscut.com. Christopher Hirsheimer, an award-winning photographer and editor, and Melissa Hamilton, a renowned food stylist are the cofounders of Canal House and the authors of the James Beard Award–winning Canal House Cooks Every Day.
