The next Mindful Movie Night is happening on Tuesday, February 28th at Chinatown’s Stretch Yoga. The Juice Truck and I are excited to team up with our friends Tamara Taggart, Kate Horsman and Genieve Burley who brought this month’s documentary of choice to our attention, calling it a must-watch for all. Released just two months ago, Eating You Alive highlights the connection between American dietary habits and the rise of chronic disease and features celebrities, such as, Samuel L. Jackson and James Cameron.
MORE ABOUT THE DOCUMENTARY
Chronic health conditions afflict half of all adults in the U.S.
Cancer. Heart disease. Stroke. Diabetes. Obesity. Hypertension. Alzheimer’s. Arthritis. Erectile dysfunction. The list goes on.
Despite countless dollars spent on medical research, new drugs, and innovative technology to improve our health, more Americans are disabled and dying from chronic disease than ever before.
Featuring leading medical experts, researchers, nutritionists and everyday people, Eating You Alive takes a scientific look at the reasons we’re so sick, who’s responsible for feeding us the wrong information, and how we can use simple, plant-based nutrition to take control of our health—one bite at a time. – eatingyoualive.com | Watch the trailer here
And we are thrilled that Dan and Sheanne Moskaluk, whose story is featured in ‘Eating You Alive’, will be joining us to discuss the film.
We’re so excited to nibble on killer vegan bites from nutrition expert Kate Horsman — thank you for bringing the movie snacks, Kate! Check out her site, katehorsman.com, for a slew of creative, seriously delicious recipes. And as always, Juice Truck will bring the cold-pressed juice and I’ll be serving my cheesy, chili-lime popcorn.
