The Juice Truck and I are excited to announce our third Mindful Movie Night featuring Fed Up, a documentary that examines America’s obesity epidemic and the food industry’s role in aggravating it.
“Everything we’ve been told about food and exercise for the past 30 years is dead wrong. FED UP is the film the food industry doesn’t want you to see. From Katie Couric, Laurie David (Oscar winning producer of AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH) and director Stephanie Soechtig, FED UP will change the way you eat forever.”
Our intimate movie night will take place at Stretch Yoga in Chinatown on Monday, August 10th. We like to keep things intimate, so expect about 30 fellow movie-watchers. This means there are no bad seats in the house, everyone can hear and we can easily enjoy a little discussion afterwards.
As usual, we’ll be supplying the plant-based treats. Since sugar will be the villain on Monday night, we’re going sugar-free. Expect some savoury goodness.
Tickets are $10 and 100% of sales will be donated to non-profit community organization Fresh Roots. To reserve your spot, simply email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the number of tickets you’d like.
