The Drive is home to a beautiful brand new cafe. Moja has opened their second location in the old Main Grocery Store space at Commercial and Napier, and that means the Grandview-Woodlands coffee scene just got even more exciting.
For the past seven years, Moja has operated out of their North Vancouver cafe and roastery, located just over the Second Narrows bridge. They’ve been working towards another location from which to spread their coffee love for the past decade.
As for the space itself, Moja and their design team (San Francisco-based Boor Bridges) has preserved the history of the old building to highlight original bones and lots of brick. A peek inside their fresh space reveals beautiful wooden tables made by none other than Union Wood Co, industrial concrete floors and white subway-tiled walls.
Now about Moja’s coffee: owners Doug and Andrew have traveled around the world to research all aspects of the bean and the industry. Most of their roasts are single origin, but they do blend their espressos and are very focused on sourcing organic and fair trade.
If you haven’t tried Moja’s espresso, you absolutely must because it really is some of the best brew in Vancouver.
