“Rain or Shine Homemade Ice Cream” Opens 2nd Shop in Cambie Village

The Cambie Street corridor got a whole lot cooler the minute Josie Fenton and Blair Casey, the husband-and-wife-team behind Kitsilano’s Rain or Shine Ice Cream, opened their second location at Cambie and 18th…just in time for busy season.

The pair launched their first location just under two years ago and their quick growth is no doubt a reflection on just how amazing their homemade ice cream is.

Using a Philadelphia-style egg free base from Birchwood Dairy, Josie and Blair love to support small local suppliers, like berry farmers from the valley, honey from Langley and most recently, The Lemon Square, whose citrusy bars are being used to create an ultra-decadent, chunky ice cream flavour.

And you can ditch the guilt when using their to-go materials: they’re all compostable, and vegans will be happy to know there’s always a plant-based option in the mix, as well as a seasonal sorbet.
