Festive outdoor event includes pumpkin patch, corn mazes, beer garden, autumn eats, pet photo booth, all-ages harvest games & so much more
Wrap yourself in a cozy sweater, slip on your boots and bring your camera for an autumn experience in the country like none other at the ROADSIDE HARVEST SOCIAL! From the organizers of the popular Abbotsford Tulip Festival comes an all-ages outdoor attraction that offers a festive harvest experience that’s fun for families, pet-lovers, craft beer enthusiasts and everyone in between!
Set in a rustic country setting on a 10-acre field just off Highway 1 in Abbotsford, Roadside is a harvest social if there ever was one. A gathering of community folks coming together under the big Abby sky, to share some nibbles, some giggles and a few wobble-y pops. Find yourself, then lose yourself in this one-of-kind autumn-themed event that includes three different corn mazes – a kiddie maze, an all-ages maze and B.C.’s first craft beer tasting corn maze; plus a pumpkin patch, games, play area, dog bar, photo booths, lounge area and craft beer garden.
The unique new attraction opens Friday, September 30th and will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm until October 23rd. Admission is $5 per person for ages 3-18 years, $10 for visitors aged 19 years and older and includes the craft beer tasting corn maze and parking. Children aged 2 years and under are free.
Roadside partner breweries for the craft beer tasting corn maze and beer garden are the Fraser Valley’s own Field House Brewing, Ravens Brewing, Old Abbey Ales and Old Yale Brewing. The beer tasting corn maze includes four tasting stations in a three kilometre corn maze with a total of four 3-ounce craft beer samples. No minors are permitted in the beer garden or beer-tasting corn maze. Food vendors will be offering a seasonal mix of autumn treats like pumpkin pies, caramel apples and candy corn from the BB Food on the Go food truck and Tracyakes Bakery Café.
The Roadside Harvest Social will kick off on Thursday, September 29th with a celebrity dog walk “Instameet”-and-greet with Pepper, the Adventure Dog and his photographer-influencer owner, Elizabeth Gadd from Vancouver (@adventurepepper and @elizabethgadd). Dog owners are being invited to meet, mingle and explore the attraction with their pets and will be encouraged to snap and post photos of their experience while tagging #pupsofroadside. Roadside will host another special pet event on Saturday, October 15 when owners and their pets can have their photos taken by a professional photographer in the Roadside dog photo booth, all in support of the SPCA.
