Delicious food is the way to my heart. It actually tastes like love – or at least that’s what springs to mind.
There is no better way to show someone you care, than by cooking them a feast this Valentine’s Day. And besides, roses only wilt.
Squash is the ultimate comfort food – any variety and in all forms: soup, casserole, ravioli, plain roasted, etc. The list goes on (and on).
Add some love to your Valentine’s Day with a heart-shaped acorn squash. Its glowing yellow orange flesh adds color to your meal, as well.
This recipe is quick and easy. Simply slice your squash, toss with garlic (the more the better), olive oil, salt, and fresh rosemary. Bake for 25 min. at 400.
Do not discard the crispy rosemary and garlic bits left on the pan – they may be the best part!
This baked winter squash is like candy. It satisfies my sweet tooth in the healthiest way and fills the home with a heavenly, comforting aroma that lingers for hours. If it doesn’t do the trick this February 14th…then maybe it’s just not meant to be.

Ciao for now.
