The Team Behind “Le Tigre” Set to Open “Torafuku” This June

Exciting news from one of Vancouver’s favourite food trucks: the team behind three-year old Le Tigre is opening their first brick and mortar location called Torafuku at Main and Prior, right across the street from Pizzeria Farina.

Their 2000 sq ft, 50-seater space will feature tapas-style Asian fusion, similar to what many of us have grown to love from their bright yellow food truck. It’s saucy, spicy and always inventive.

As for the menu, owners Clement Chan and Steve Kuan say they’re doing something totally different but with similar flavours. And since their truck is only open during the day, expect to find it parked outside their new restaurant at night to serve overflow and grab and go customers.

Torafuku — which means “lucky tiger” — is no doubt one of Vancouver’s most anticipated restaurant openings this summer. They’re set to open by June. Check back for updates.
