The Winter Market at Nat Bailey Stadium: What’s In Season

Though our days are progressively getting colder and darker, there are many things to look forward to during the winter season, like the Winter Vancouver Farmers Market at Nat Bailey Stadium where it’s easy to warm-up thanks to the sight of beautiful local winter produce, the friendliness of this earth-conscious community and of course, hot comfort food from a selection of food trucks in attendance.

From 10am to 2pm every Saturday, the Winter market is a destination for locally grown fruits and vegetables, artisan cheese and bread, meat and seafood from local ranchers and fishermen, herbs and seasonal nursery items, artisanal crafts and baked goods.

Some of my favourite vendors include Klippers Organics (for beautiful produce) and Farmhouse Natural cheese (for organic dairy products from happy cows and goats).

This weekend, expect to find local apples, brussel sprouts, carrots, cauliflower, winter squash and so much more on sale. Continue on to a list of “what’s in season” by month.

Check out some of my other favourite markets in your area.
