The food you most often describe as, ‘to die for’?
BM – Tacos from La Taqueria. A favorite is the De Cachete (braised beef cheeks). The fat in there and the umami…it’s like ‘wow’. I also love chocolate. I just bought a 3kg bag of Valrhona.
Your favorite Vancouver restaurant?
Your trashy indulgence? (eg. that late night 7/11 or drive-thru treat)
BM – Ice cream sandwiches. Klondikes are awesome (the one with the cookie).
The food you refuse to eat?
BM – Green peppers. Can’t stand ‘em. They’re under-ripe. Finish the job!
The sexiest food?
BM – Strawberries served with home whipped cream with a little bit of maple syrup and some alchohol…whatever’s handy.
Your favorite dessert?
BM – Tiramisu. Best in town is right here at Nicli. It’s boozy and creamy, but has that richer mouth feel than just cream.
Your favorite comfort food?
BM – Tomatoey pasta. It’s the pasta in the soup that I like.
