Vancouver’s Neapolitan pizza scene has really blown up in the past few years. As much as we all love Italian pizza, there is beauty in the non-traditional pies out there, too. One of my favourite spots for crazy Canadian pizza is The Parlour in Yaletown, whose wild totally tempting menu makes it really tough to order.
The Goldmember is one of my big favourites. It’s topped with caramelized onion, mushroom duxelle, yukon gold potato, truffle oil and gruyere. You can smell it well before it lands on the table. The Yaletown or “the sushi pizza”, as many call it, is also a hot-seller with albacore tuna, red and green onion, avocado and spicy aioli.
Another very non-Italian yet fabulous pizza option offered The Parlour is gluten-free dough. It’s not celiac friendly, but it does this trick if you’re gluten sensitive.
If you’re craving Parlour’s inventive pizzas but stuck at home in your PJs, they offer delivery service with a lazy fee of $5.
