Chef Steven Hodge has worked his magic, and Temper Pastry’s second holiday season promises to be a very jolly one indeed! Taking his inspiration from the luxury of Vancouver living and the traditions of the holiday season, and combining them with ideas drawn from his daughter’s bath toys, Hodge has created whimsical holiday showpieces. Chef Hodge’s vision is to represent the unique synthesis of luxury and tradition of Vancouver by taking classic ideas and giving them a fresh new look. Featured this year is the Chocolate Gift Box filled with handmade truffles, Rudolph the Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman and Dr. Seuss trees. To complement his avant garde showpieces are some more classic winter-flavoured chocolates: eggnog truffles and peppermint bonbons. He is also creating a wide array of stocking stuffer confections that promise to test the stretchiness on even the best-knit stockings; confections include almond rochers, chocolate candy cane bark, chocolate puzzles and green & red marshmallows.
Temper Chocolate & Pastry is a family-owned and run pastry and chocolate shop located in Dundarave Village, West Vancouver. Chef Steven Hodge and his team create tantalizing French pastry, as well as handcrafting an impressive collection of truffles and bonbons made from the finest chocolate available. Temper has recently expanded its menu to accommodate lunch options, and continues to be one of only three locations in Vancouver to use and retail Stumptown Coffee beans.
