What Happened to the Gorilla Food Space on Richards Street?

Have you noticed there’s a new business now open in the old Gorilla Food space in the 400 block of Richards Street? The ladies of Indigo Food have taken over the underground dining room and they are an absolutely fabulous addition to the neighourhood.

Ironically, like Gorilla, they specialize in raw vegan food, making them the perfect spot for a healthy lunch, dinner or even dinner to go, if you work in the downtown core. Ukrainian raw food chef Lovena Galydide is behind Indigo’s delicious recipes, which include a handful of Ukrainian favourites, like creamy perogies with potatoes. Other more classic raw vegan items are raw pizza with nut cheese, avocado spring rolls and cheesecake.

While you’re there you must stock up on Lovena’s delicious almond pesto nut cheese and some turmeric almond milk, if you want to try something a little different.

Indigo Age Cafe & Kombucha Bar is located at 436 Richards St and you can check out their menu here.
