Yaletown Food Crawl: Three Restaurant Stops You Can’t Miss

Summer is a great excuse to get out and have some fun on the town. Since progressive dinners are my favourite here’s an itinerary for a delicious food crawl in Yaletown.

Start with a cocktail at the newly renovated Opus Bar at The Opus Hotel. The new, extremely well-executed drink list here is a stunner, the room is slick, and the tunes are sexy. Try the Offshore Affair cocktail with pisco, creme yvette, grapefruit, lavender and egg white.

Next, head one block away to Minami’s backyard patio for a few orders of Aburi Oshi Sushi. The Salmon Oshi with jalapeno is the most popular of their three versions, but my pick is the tangy Ebi Oshi with lime zest and ume sauce.

Finish the night with a glass of wine on Homer Street Cafe and Bar’s intimate patio. Their wine list is extremely trustworthy – you really can’t go wrong. And the chocolate pudding with sea salt, cocoa nibs and honeycomb will be the fireworks to end your evening.
